A Sunderland charity has praised the generosity of a Seaham-based mailing house.

Grace House, which offers short break respite and care for young children, has thanked MetroMail for donating a number of printing, enclosing and mailing services. The most recent job the mailing house completed is believed to be worth up to £4,000.

MetroMail’s support for the charity goes back more than five years when the charity was seeking help to communicate with supporters. A lack of budget and resources results in many small charities relying on organic methods of communication. MD, Chris Pygall believes it is essential to support the local community and give something back:

‘as a key employer within the region, employing over 200 people; we feel as though it is our corporate social responsibility to give something back to the local community’.

Senior Fundraiser for the charity, Karen Maclennan stated: ‘without MetroMail’s support we would have been restricted when sending out mailings and communicating with our supporters’.

MetroMail print a variety of direct marketing on behalf of Grace House, mailing it to their supporters 2-3 times per year. This raises awareness of their charity events or provides details of seasonal campaigns. Their next event is a ‘Race for Grace Obstacle Challenge 5k Fun Run!’, you can sign up on-line at www.gracehouse.co.uk.

‘MetroMail’s provision has enabled us to keep our supporters up-dated about current fundraising appeals, campaigns and about the services we provide’.

MetroMail plan to maintain their charitable relationship with Grace House, helping the local community and allowing the charity to carry out their valued work.
